R-Drive Image Best Easy Way To Create Images Of Operating System

One time I lost data from a hard drive with many photos, files, and documents. Backing up the files in a cloud drive or any other storage is an option. You can’t carry an entire software backup in the secondary storage drives. Fortunately, you can create an image of the PC and travel in a removable device.

What is an R-Drive Image?

R-Drive Image is a Windows program allowing users to create backup images, disk to disk copy, Partition Manager of the operating system, partitions, drives, removable drives, etc. The image files have many benefits compared to moving to copy the files in an external or cloud storage. I have mentioned everything you need to know about R-Drive Image and the How-To guide.

Create Image using R-Image Drive

I have prepared the How-To guide to demonstrate how the program works and what it does. Download the R-Drive Image free version on the Windows machine, and try the feature first hand.

  1. Open the program.
  2. Click on the ‘Create Image’ option.
  3. Find the target partition, drive, or removable drive.
  4. I selected the removable drive and click the ‘Next’ button.
  5. Choose the destination to save the image file.
  6. Check the details here.
  7. Click on the ‘Start’ button.
  8. Let the program create the selected storage image.

Leave the computer aside for optimal performance.

  1. Click on the ‘Ok’ button.
  2. A recovery file is saved on the selected location.

I selected ‘Desktop’ as the destination. You can move the recovery image to a removable drive or anywhere.

Restore Image using R-Image Drive

Let me show you how to restore the image file and the results. Meanwhile, you can check out the in-depth disk cloning and system development tutorial. I have used the newly created recovery image and restored the file in the removable file.

  1. Open the R-Drive Image program.
  2. Click on the ‘Restore Image’ option.
  3. Find the location where you saved the recovery image.
  4. Choose the file and click the ‘Next’ option.

Read the information to confirm the recovery image.

  1. Learn about the recovery file (source) drive information.
  2. Time and date
  3. Exact location

I’m amazed by the information you get from the recovery files.

  1. Find the drive to restore the file.
  2. Choose the recovery image drive (source) and use the mouse cursor.
  3. I selected the removable drive and click the ‘Next’ button.
  4. Click on the ‘Ok’ button.
  5. Confirm the recovery file details and estimated time.
  6. Click on the ‘Start’ button.
  7. Leave the PC alone for optimal performance and improve the completion time.
  8. The recovery image was restored successfully.

Open the drive or partition to check the results.

Supported Drives & Devices

The R-Drive Image can create recovery images of Windows OS, storage drives, removable storage devices, external storage, SD cards, volumes, partitions, etc. You can create and restore recovery images using the R-Technology software company tool. The free version gives you a glimpse of the features and what it can do. Purchase the premium license to unlock all features and remove barriers.

Partition Manager

The R-Drive Image has advanced Partition Manager in the tool. Use the PM to create, delete, wipe, and format the drives on the PC. Windows has a disk management feature in the system, but it leaves fragments in the storage drive. Windows machine owners wipe the drive before selling the laptop or desktop. The new owners can recover the data using recovery tools. Use the PM and wipe the drive without zero fragments.

Windows OS Cloning

I have upgraded two Windows laptops with an SSD. I had to reinstall the operating system, drivers, programs, and files. Use the cloning feature to transfer Windows to the new hard disk or SSD without losing data. You don’t have to use a secondary computer to transfer the software. The R-Drive Image works without getting out of the system.

Log Files

We often make mistakes while creating or restoring recovery images. We regret our actions later due to confusion. R-Drive Image developers added a ‘Log Files’ section for such users. The program records the operations in the program, and you can come back to check the log files.

  1. Date & time
  2. Application
  3. List of operations play-by-play
  4. Drive used in the operation
  5. List of all operations

The logs record all operations and give you information play-by-play. You know what happened earlier and a few days back without losing a small piece of the puzzle.

Bottom Line

R-Drive Image premium license key starts from $44.95 per year only. Unfortunately, the R-Drive Image is not available for macOS and Linux machines. Meanwhile, the program supports Windows XP or later operating system versions. The developers designed the program for low-end machines, so don’t worry about the performance drop. Let us know your thoughts on the R-Drive Image.
